Asylum & Refugee Support Group

We provide a safe, welcoming, friendly and non-judgmental group for asylum seekers and refugees living in South Wales. The group meets every month and offers support, advice and the opportunity to socialise.
The project combats isolation and develops a supportive community, providing information to members of the group around the asylum process in the UK to give them the best chance of presenting their case.
Members of the group learn about their rights and equality law in the UK, as well as the help and support available for victims of discrimination and hate crime.

Members find out about relevant services and organisations in Cardiff and South Wales that support asylum seekers and refugees. This includes services and organisations that work with people seeking sanctuary and other services that may be relevant to group members and where required we signpost orrefer members to relevant organisations and services based on their needs.
Above all, the project provides an opportunity for socialising for all asylum seekers and refugees in a welcoming environment.
