Race Equality First is an independent charity and company limited by guarantee which was established in 1976. The Organisation has 40 years of experience as the recognised lead body in South Wales for tackling all forms of discrimination and hate crime across all equality strands under the Equality Act 2010, especially racism. Race Equality First was established to work towards the principal of equality and creating a fair and just society with the following aims:
The Organisation’s aims are currently achieved through the delivery of 6 services / projects at Race Equality First: Discrimination Casework Service; Advocacy for Victims of Hate Crime; Advocacy for Elderly Ethnic Minority People; Training; Policy Development, Campaigning and Lobbying; Annual Schools against Racism Calendar and Poster Competition and anti-discrimination workshops in local schools.
